Notebooks and Binders
Notebooks and binders are a crucial part of our learning in this class and must be present everyday in the classroom with the student. They may be taken home to study, but must return the next day. Please do not remove things from the binder or notebooks. Things that go home will be placed in the take home folder.
Keep It Folder 📁
Students will have a keep it folder that they use to put any loose notes or handouts in. These will need to stay in this folder until transferred to the take home folder.

Binders 📒
The binders will be used to house most of the necessary materials for the day such as paper, notebooks, the Keep It folder, and the pencil pouch. The Take Home folder will not be kept inside of it.

Interactive Notebooks 📗
There will be separate notebooks kept for reading, language, and science. Important concepts will either be written or pasted into these notebooks. Most of these concepts will be activity or collaboratively based and developed within the classroom by and with the students together. These notebooks are interactive and will be a working document that is constantly added to throughout the year. In essence students will be authoring their own book on a topic. Pages should not be removed unless instructed to by the teacher. Everything in there will continually be used throughout the school year. The contents of the notebooks will also be worth points and will be graded via a rubric.
